HBN is a kind of white powder of loose, lubricious and easy moisture absorption with theoretical density 2.27g/cm3 , Moh¡¯s hardness 2, low mechanical strength , but high than graphite. It has fine electrical insulation, thermal conductivity, High Temperature Stability, Lubricious, Inert, Non-Wetting, chemical corrosion resisting property, anti-oxygenation property and lubricating property. It has strong neutron absorbent power. Because of its stable chemical property, it is not reactive to almost every melting metals.
